When I first saw the commercial for the Toll House Delight Fulls, aka chocolate chips with filling, I thought, "Those need to go into a batch of blondies!!" A gal at work had a birthday and a star has been made. Regular milk chocolate chips can be used instead, but try to find the caramel filled ones. They are beyond yummy!!! 1 c Packed Brown Sugar
1/3 c Butter (Unsalted) 1 Egg 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla 1 c All Purpose Flour 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 1/8 tsp Baking Soda 1/4 tsp Salt 3/4 c Milk Chocolate Chips Filled With Caramel 3/4 c Chopped Pecans Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8x8 pan and set aside. In a medium saucepan melt the butter and add the brown sugar. Stir the mixture constantly until all lumps are removed. Turn off the heat and cool the mixture slightly. Stir in the vanilla, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir in the egg and flour. Fold in the caramel filled chocolate chips and chopped pecans. Transfer the mixture to the greased pan. Smooth out the mixture so it reaches all the corners. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the blondies cool for about an hour on a wire rack. Cut into 1 inch squares and serve.
